Group Leader for Recycling Center (ÅVC)
Do you want to contribute to a sustainable future while leading an engaged team in daily operations? Then you might be the one we are looking for as a Group Leader at ÅVC!
As a Group Leader at ÅVC, you have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating daily operations at the facility. This means that, in addition to your regular duties as an environmental worker, you are responsible for staffing, planning, task distribution, and administrative tasks. You are a key person in ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-friendly operations at the facility.
Responsibilities
As a Group Leader at ÅVC, your tasks include:
- Planning staffing and scheduling in collaboration with the group manager.
- Conducting and documenting operational meetings.
- Responsible for purchasing consumables and maintenance materials, as well as ordering maintenance according to delegation.
- Participating in financial work, for example through invoice management.
- Analyzing operational data to adapt and improve operations based on customer needs.
- Responsible for inventory reporting and ensuring transport orders are carried out.
- Ensuring that tasks are performed according to routines and self-control checklists.
- Ensuring that equipment is maintained according to applicable routines (e.g., machines and tools).
- Informing and supporting employees to ensure instructions and routines are followed.
- Performing tasks as an environmental worker at ÅVC, such as receiving, sorting, and handling waste and recycling materials.
- Participating in planning and follow-up of work routines and processes to streamline operations.
Other Responsibilities and Tasks
- Participating in relevant projects and training.
- Suggesting improvements within the organization.
- Having an active work environment focus.
- Performing delegated tasks in a professional and responsible manner.
- Actively participating in workplace meetings and other gatherings.
- Being a role model in work environment efforts.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following:
- High school education.
- Driver's license (B).
- Good administrative skills.
- Experience in leading operational work.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Meritorious:
- Machine operator certificate for wheel loader, material handler, and excavator.
- Experience in waste management and reuse.
- Certificate for Hot Work.
- Training in ADR 1.3 (dangerous goods).
The position is full-time with placement at Salmunge Recycling Center and Treatment.
We apply a 6-month probationary period.
